So close to the end...

On Friday 11th August 2006 at 10:00 AM GTM, Runt will come face to face with the sum of his greatest weaknesses - evil and girls.

How will he handle the situation? Well, to discover that, you'll have to wait until Monday. Because I'm a tease like that.

The comic is nearing its end, with only a handful remaining. I really need a copy of Flash, or it'll die after #130 - and I really don't want it to die. Thanks to this comic I've made new friends, learned about the art of webcomic design, and made a miniscule amount of money that Cafepress won't give me until I get $15. It's been fun, but looking at the way things are panning out, it looks like the comic will die soon enough. Sorry, I've tried my best.

Just getting you ready for the inevitable. I guess I kind of did dig myself into a rut with the end of the series anyway - it's hard to bring characters back from the dead to start a new series. But I'll shut up now - I don't want to give the game away.

In the meantime, feel free to check out the forum or buy a Tshirt, and be ready for the compilation book when I get round to making it.

Aw. I don't want this to die.

Have you tried the free trial? That's at least 30 days, and then... um.

You know, a few comics that I've been with which had this problem managed to raise money through artwork auctions/donations. Personally, as long as it wasn't through CafePress (which hates me) - I'd be more than happy to buyy a print or donate money. You can set up the latter with Paypal. Hopefully others feel the same way, though I know we're a pretty small community.

You'd have to free my forum acount, though :( I'm still stuck in limbo here.

Yeah, really
I could never get the store to work right. But yes, I'd highly suggest trying the tip jar route/print auction. Your take on things is rather unique and I'd hate to see you gone from the scene entirely.

Charamei, I've activated your account. You should be able to post now.

A lot of people are having trouble with activation emails.

I'd not thought of doing a print auction - I had a Paypal thing up very temporarily, but it didn't work out because I got annoyed at it and nobody was enthused enough to donate.

I might try a print auction, but the problem is that all of the artwork for Totally Kotor is done on the computer, so all anybody would get would be a computer printout, unless I sold off my basic sketches...

I tend to sketch out the comic before doing it on the computer, just to see where things are going to go. Maybe I could auction those...

Ooh, thank you :)

Okay, how about this - if you still have access to Flash, you could try a wallpaper auction rather than a print one. It requires webspace to upload the images, but a free account somewhere (or even Imageshack/Photobucket) would do for the period it'd be up. People get something for their money, and you don't have to part with your sketches or worry about 'just' printing the comics out.

If you don't have access to Flash, it might still be possible if you haven't done the free trial yet...

Mind you, though, if you don't mind selling off your sketches, we'll go for that too ;)

I think it'd probably be best to sell off my sketches, as I don't really need them, and the idea of selling wallpapers makes me feel a bit cruel.

I dunno. Maybe I should take digital photos of some of them, and then auction them off on the forum.

Except the forum's not busy enough yet...
